NarusInsight Traffic Management Suite (NTMS) allows Service Providers to identify the types and sources of VoIP traffic on their network, associate this with known VoIP licensees and "problem" services, and take mitigating actions should they choose to do so.
NTMS' ability to quickly associate traffic with known VoIP services allows for efficient and economic management of all types of VoIP traffic on a network.

NarusInsight Traffic Management Suite can mitigate or manage traffic by using remote calls to network elements to either eliminate or regulate IP traffic via rounter access list and other commands.
Suspected VoIP traffic is identifided and presented to operators via the NTMS system. NTMS presents the operator with a view of the traffic and associated license information. The user has a choice of automatically modifying routing tables and mitigating the traffic, manually reconfiguring routing infrastructure or taking other actions. Logs are maintained of alerts and operator activities. Records are maintained of mitigation actions taken for unwanted traffic. Since mitigation actions are involved through existing network elements, NarusInsight Traffic Management Suite makes efficient use of existing network infrastructure and minimizes the number of devices that must be added to implement traffic management.
NTMS can report on traffic in terms of protocol, bandwidth, licensee, license type, licensed gateway address, suspect gateway address and can alarm on many parameters, such as bandwidth excesses or VoIP type.
NTMS is built on the NarusInsight System, the most scalable traffic intelligence system for capturing, analyzing and correlating IP traffic in real-time. The NarusInsight System is capable of high-speed full packet capture and processing with deep traffic inspection from Layer 2 to Layer 7, processing at speeds up to OC 192/10G off the wire. It provides next-generation traffic analysis with advanced algorithms and is used by Narus and our customers as the engine to power real-time security, intercept and traffic classification applications.
