Just as in years past, today’s government agencies are tasked with protecting the nation’s physical infrastructure from both foreign and domestic threats. The difference is that today, these same agencies have the additional responsibility of protecting the nation’s virtual or cyber infrastructure which is arguably more complex and more prone to widespread disaster. Additionally, much of the physical threat is planned and executed via the cyber world making the management of this space dually important. The only way to address all of the necessary requirements in this new age is to protect private and internal government networks as well as working with and potentially mandating commercial service providers and carriers to do the same. Additionally, governments must also consider the ancillary issue of intelligence and surveillance associated with tracking cyber criminals and thwarting their efforts, whether those efforts are focused on commercial, political, or other more serious crimes. While there are a number of solutions available today that cover portions of all of the issues government must address, Narus has established itself as the leader in the Traffic Intelligence space with the flagship NarusInsight product. Government organizations and contractors to these organizations can effectively monitor private and public networks for the purposes of protecting not only the services that ride on those networks, but more importantly, the people using those services.
With a combination of specific solution configurations built around Cyber Protection, Intercept, and Traffic Management, Narus is able to meet the broad set of needs to address the threats to national infrastructures.
